The RG-100 WF1CB Frigidaire water filter reduces the following health related contaminants:

Tested and Certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standards 42 for the reduction of Aesthetic Chlorine and Nominal Particulates Class III. As with all built-in refrigerator water filters, the PureSource RG-100 WF1CB does not remove Fluoride.

Important: Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used on disinfected waters that may contain filterable cysts.

Installation and replacement procedure for the RG-100 WF1CB fridge water filter:

  • The filter cartridge sits inside of a white plastic "cup" and you'll need to unscrew the cup before you can see the filter.
  • Unscrew the filter cup.
  • Remove and discard the old filter.
  • Peel off the protective cover from the new cartridge.
  • Place the new filter in the filter cup. Note: The end of the filter with the small o-ring should be up.
  • Screw the filter cup (with filter) up onto the housing. Note: The filter will self-align as the cup is tightened.
  • Run water through the dispenser for 3 minutes to purge the system.

  • Reset the filter status light by pressing and holding the Dispensor button for 3 to 15 seconds.

When to change a filter: There is a replacement indicator light for the water filter cartridge on the temperature control panel. The filter cartridge should be replaced when the replacement indicator light turns red, or every 6 months, or if the flow of water to a dispenser or icemaker decreases.
